Update….my new Agrotrend 7274 inverted Snowblower arrived yesterday. This morning I hung it on my Kioti and checked it over, greased/oiled etc. It felt great just driving the several hundred metres over to my house and back. I decided for the handcrank turner to keep things simple. Love summer to wring out my Harley, but enjoy winter until February when I want the weather to warm up. I’ll come back after I’ve used it a few times with my thoughts on using it. Let it snow…

Weather forecast,.... Less than an inch of snow predicted!! Wakeup to 5" of the white fluffy stuff and still snowing! What a good change, been waiting for this for over a month.
Got to love the weather forecasts! Can't predict the weather, but they did predict an ice age that didn't happen!

I am really excited for snow this winter. I enjoy getting outside on an open-station tractor and plowing snow so much, that I bought the smallest tractor money can buy, just to “stretch” the job out a little further on light snowfalls:
For heavier snowfalls, I use my larger 4wd turbo charged diesel tractor with rear blade and front loader. I keep that under the porch on my barn with the block heater plugged in and switched from an outlet in the house.
I plow the the driveways to our house and barn, and the neighbors on both sides.

Very nice barn you have there. I have a much smaller but similar style shop with a wood stove to sit in front of on the cold days…
Thanks, I like it. I have a 12x20 woodshop under a loft inside that barn that I heat with a small propane heater (when it’s real cold out) and/or an infrared electric heater.
We have a wood stove similar to yours in the house. I love the feel of that wood fire on real cold days. That is definitely one of the biggest keys to making winter bearable, way up North on the Canadian border where we live.
I recently finished a new woodshed on the back of back porch on that barn. It will hold 24 face cords when full. Ive got (12) in it now. We use about (6) on an average winter.

Well, we finally got some realmsnow. Had 8” of dry powder this morning. Now its warming up and supposed to have rain for 5 days. So i plowed it up to prevent slushy mess

My insurance co to,d me they would cancel my insurance if i used wood or pellet heat in shop. So i installed a ceiling hung propane unit many years ago.
