Id go Dark Brown, Different enough from the Brick to contrast, yet complimentary to the overall colour.

What choices do you have?

I would stay away from red as I think it would be TOO much red with the brick. Green? Too much like Christmas probably. But in some Googling, I found several suggestions that a very dark green would look good with red brick.

Here is a site that lets you try colors on a brick house, though their brick is more worn (less red) looking:
Metal Roof Color Visualizer | Best Buy Metals

There are a bunch of choices but I know I am limited with what I have to work with. This is the medal I will be using and they have the different colors on this page. Virtual Roofing Colors - Virtual Roof Colors - Union Corrugating

I know the brick limits my choices but I also have to consider the setting the house is in. The problem I have is none of the sites I have been looking at shows pics of brick houses that are like the brick on my house. I wanted a rustic look rather than the regular ol red brick house. This brick and mortar has more of a pinkish overall tint to it than red. It has different shades of black, brown and whites also along with the other colors that make up the finished product. The front of the house does not show much brick at all other than the garage wall. It's the back of the house that has the most brick showing and this side is not broken up by the wrap porch. I plan on taking some shots of the house today if the sun comes out so that you guys can get a better idea of what I have to work with.

There are applications on the Web that allow you to upload a photo of your house and experiment with different paint colors -- Sherwin Williams is an example. It might be worth Googling to see if there are applications for roof colors.

Steve

The ones I have seen show mostly fiber singles like I already have. Believe me I have been looking all over the place.

You can't see my house from the road. It is way back off the road and sits in a woody setting. The last part of the drive way you make a turn to the right and as you start forward you can see the house through the woods and I want the house to look like it belongs there so it's not just the brick I have to deal with. I have the overall color of the woods as well as the natural colors of the house to play with and is why I was thinking of the terracotta red. It is not a bright over bearing red but has more of a dull redish tint that seems to me would blend well with the natural colors of the woods.

Man, I have driven a thousand miles looking for stuff like mine but there are just nothing I have found that fits what I have. I'm sure there are some out there I just need to keep looking I guess.

I was thinking about that and a friend said I might try the copper metallic but when I see it on some pics of houses it looks too light but maybe it was just the pics. I want a change and didn't want to go with the charcoal grey but may end up there before it's over.

.

I've been really paying attention to roof colors lately as I'm in the market too.

There are red (and it's variations) houses near me that have red (and it's variations) roofs; they don't look that great together.

Another vote for the dark green !

MX842, I am having my personal barber fly out this weekend and she has impecable taste (except in her choice of husband) and sense of color and style. If you include a better pic of your house in this thread I am sure she will know the perfect color to compliment your brick and your woods!

I think a dark tan...kind of doe skin color would look good. It might be my monitor, but your eves/fascia boards look like the color I'm thinking about.

Light colors reflect the sun, so cooler in summer. From the link you added, I think, any of the lighter earth-tones, would look fine. (No deep green, blue or reds)

Also, where do you want the emphasis? on the roof or the house? I would think, the house.
