Who makes a work truck with creature comforts?

I agree that how you spend your money is your concern. However, what I find annoying is how often people complain about the price of trucks; when it's the bells and whistles that they actually are paying for... oftentimes nearly doubling the price of the vehicle.

True and also demonstrated in agriculture. Farmers whine and complain about the price of technology but gravitate towards hi end spec tractors while economy versions are poor sellers. I bought a truck in June that was optioned the way I liked. Negotiated a fair deal, wrote a check and I’m satisfied.

i have pretty much decided to get the power sets i need i am going to end up with some bells and whistles i don't need. Up until now I have had vehicles that have not had them.
My question is what does one do when they break? Most electrical stuff is only warrantied 1 year 12,000 miles. (least what it used too) Do you trade it every year?
We can track or look at fight over who has the best transmission and engine , that information appears to be out there, is one manufacturer better at the bells and whistles than the other? It has been my experience that the electrical stuff is what drives up repair costs. Do you hold on to it for so long and trade it in on another new one.
For those that have had all the creature comforts on a work truck how are you handling it?
please and thanks.

Looking after a neighbors 15, F150 Lariat. Took it for a little drive on Friday around the property. I don't think a Gimmick has been put into a pickup that this thing doesn't have. With my more practical values, I found it just a little obscene. Not enough to have tilt steering, it has to be motorized. Sound system is awesome though!

Our 2019 King Ranch F-150 has thigh, butt and back massage! Heated and cooled seats. Panoramic glass roof. There are more computers running in this King than a spaceship has!

Getting a butt massage while driving is really neat though!

It poured the other night, and my only thought was. Did I close that Panoramic Sun Roof correctly? A lot of buttons, with the usual stupid icons, that make little sense to me.

I personally think, it's valuable for people to speak up about the various non sense that the Herd goes along with. Now, if that critical outlook comes from a place of Envy is another matter. I wouldn't have GOLD faucets no matter how rich I was. Any more than some of these Gimmicks. I have said it before, I would be embarrassed to drive a vehicle with a GIANT PLATINUM banner accross the tailgate. HECK, it might as well say TRUMP! Don't get me wrong. I wish he was OUR leader!

why not step up your game a bit.
Have you looked at any commercial trailer pullers?

The Taco Wagon has the motorized, sliding, adjustable tinted, panoramic sun roof. I opened/closed it once. Now it will forever be in the closed position. One of the options I would have never chosen had I ordered the truck. Six months out of the year it will be frozen shut. Try to open it - something internal will break. Big $$$ to repair.

However - I do really appreciate the drivers seat massage & heat features. I'm currently recovering from a "something" that makes most all joints in my body ache. The Dr's have a long, lengthy name for it. It's accidental activation of my auto immune system that attacks my joints. Can hurt like holy, bloody H*LL. Narcotics to the rescue!! Fortunately - it's just about all cured. I go out 2X daily - fire it up - sit there and let the seat massage plus heat make all feel better. Massage plus heat - just what the Dr ordered.

I sure as heck didn't order these two options but as long as it's available and helps. Makes ME happy.

The massage seats was the reason I got a platinum over the lariat. ..That, and I didn't want chrome bumpers.

Base bumper to bumper warranties are typically something like 3 years 36000 miles. That’s exactly what my 2020 GMC came with. For $1822 I extended that bumper to bumper coverage (with a $100 deductible) to 10 years 100K miles. GM warranty good at any dealer in the US or Canada. I keep trucks for 10+ years so the added coverage was a no brainer for me. Your mileage may vary.
