I have to respectfully disagree with you both...
I like my my power auto tilt and retracting steering wheel on my BMW. It's faster than me getting in/out. Also nice to have a couple of seat/wheel/mirror saved settings so my wife (who is quite a bit shorter than me) and I can rotate driving the car without either of us having to make any adjustments other than the rear view mirror. We share the car quite a bit.
I have long legs so I need the wheel closer to my torso than an average stature person for comfort. But that means it needs to retract for me to easily exit.
I could kinda see the point in a car but who is moving their truck steering wheel? I move mine when I need to take the dash plate off and that’s about it. I’m not even a big fan of the power adjust seats. But they are nicer seats I’ll give them that. The tow mirrors that fold in when you park but someday they’ll leave you stuck with them in. The running boards that fold up what’s the point? And probably the worst “feature” of all that I absolutely can’t stand is the SUV hatches that fold up at the speed of molasses.
