I have no idea what that Latin(?) phrase means, but have a feeling I'd like it.

Come to think of it, I can't find any of my guns either. Wonder what happened to them?

Roughly (very) translated,

My friends, "if you want peace, prepare for war but while America debates, we are in danger; "America - may it live, grow, and flourish! for while I breathe, I hope"

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...thanks for the tip...I'll remember that!
So, what do you carry, Soundguy?

-Usually-, a Sig P-230 with hydrashocks..I can get away with that with a long shirt... I carry it in a bromeland formfit ITP/beltclip holster. If I need more discreet carry, I have a rear pocket 'wallet' holster that I carry a Kel-Tec .32a in, also with hydrashocks. ( no. the holster is not a shoot-thru ) Not going to stop a raging rhino with it.. but will be better than nothing if I get in a self defense position.

When it's cold and i can wear a jacket... If I feel the need for extra stopping power, I have a paddle holser for which I carry a small frame .45a in ( for the life of me i can't recall what make it is... I havn't carrie dit in at least 5ys or so... it's larger and heavier than either of my 2 'prefered' guns.. )

Unfortunately ( fortunately? ) Many of us don't have the option to 'loose' or 'missplace' our guns along the way as there are simply too many legal ramifications for doing so... best bet is to actively and vigoresly preserve your rights thru making your political voice heard, and then exercising those rights fully, in the light.. not in the dark..

I carry a snubby .38 in my pocket mostly (it's there right now, in fact). If I'm wearing a covering garment...normally a Glock 9 mm (17 or 19).

Yeah...very simple to maintain too.

I thought about a Sig about 10 years ago..but the county cops just south of here (who carried Sigs at that time) were having a real problem with the gun cracking. I can't recall if it was the slides or frames. That kind of put me off Sigs a bit.
I'd already had one Glock (the 17) which I was pretty happy with, along with two 1911's so I really didn't need another semi-auto.

I guess Glocks and my 790 share some engineering philosophy...very simple with no frills. That statement describes me too, I guess, so that's why I like 'em.

I've been using Speer for carry ammo and plink with Wolf (never buy that crap again, but I've got a thousand rounds) or S&B. I never use reloads or lead bullets.

Yikes.. I've never heard of sig's cracking? I wonder if they were using hot loads? or if it was a specific model?

How do you like the KelTec? A friend of my brother in law has that same exact setup you have. He loves it and says he's never had any problems with it. It's in a little black zip case. Pretty awesome and I have been looking locally for one, but to no avail. Gonna shop the next gun-show for one, maybe I'll get lucky.

Do you mind me asking what you paid for it so I have a good idea?

Thanks Soundguy

I don't recall the model. It really surprised me, since Sig is a very high quality pistol.
However, I reckon I'll stick with the Glocks now...
Anyway, my next purchase is going to be a shorty upper for my AR-15. I've got the hots for an SBR for home defense. Probably a 10ス" barrel.

Speaking of Kel-Tec's...anyone seen this one (attached pic). Looks pretty nice...
