How do you like the KelTec? A friend of my brother in law has that same exact setup you have. He loves it and says he's never had any problems with it. It's in a little black zip case. Pretty awesome and I have been looking locally for one, but to no avail. Gonna shop the next gun-show for one, maybe I'll get lucky.

Do you mind me asking what you paid for it so I have a good idea?

Thanks Soundguy

I love the little 32acp. it's light, feels good and tight.. and it should give me the upper hand in most self defense situations if my atacker shows up with fists, a knife, or a club style weapon... that's about al I can ask for.

I've never had a jamb or failure to feed / eject. i use UMC cartridges for target, and hydrashocks for carry. i just picked up a 2nd magazine for it at a gun show today.

I havn't a clue exactly what i paid for it.. it's been a few years. I'd guess about 225$. I see they are going for about 260$ right now...

I don't recall the model. It really surprised me, since Sig is a very high quality pistol.
However, I reckon I'll stick with the Glocks now...
Anyway, my next purchase is going to be a shorty upper for my AR-15. I've got the hots for an SBR for home defense. Probably a 10ス" barrel.

Speaking of Kel-Tec's...anyone seen this one (attached pic). Looks pretty nice...

Looks kinda $pendy!!

Had a Glock 36, and a Colt 1911 - I'm very happy with revolvers now. A Colt Detective Special in a DeSantis OWB with Federal Hydroshocks carries nicely. Or, a Smith 10-8 4" HB, in a Cobra Gunskin OWB if I'm dressed for it, same loads. For the range, I have a 6-1/2" .41 mag. Blackhawk and a 7-1/2" .44 mag. Super Blackhawk, or the old 3" GP100. A 6-1/2" .357 Blackhawk should be in the immediate future, if all goes as planned. A couple of Winchester 94 .30-30's, a .38-55 Marlin, with several .22's to round things out, and I reload for all (except the .22's). I just got a 175 gr. .357 mag. SWC mold (Lee, special order) that I'll try out in the forthcoming Blackhawk.

FM... do you have a hard time finding cartridges for that 38-55?

How's it shoot? ( comparable to a??? )

Hello Roy, fellow Pennsylvanian. So, what do you think of our fine governor's new one a month plan? As if I had to ask.

For personal protection, my 2nd degree black belt never leaves me. It's like a 12 gauge at the end of each foot. It's always loaded and never mis fires. And if that don't work, there's always the AR-15 and the .32 auto in my concealed holster.

Soundguy,

I hold my .38-55 in high esteem. Accurate, and as much punch as anyone needs for North American game. The .38-55 launches a 255 grain .380 diameter bullet at anywhere from 1,400 to 2,000 feet per second (lead bullets - I suppose copper jacketed could be driven faster) which is well above .44 magnum power, with better cross sectional density, better ballistic coefficient, and flatter trajectory than the .44 magnum. And the .44 mag. is no wimp when it comes to taking deer, especially under 100 yards. The .38-55 is a step up from the .30-30, the .32 Winchester, and the .35 Remington. As for cartridges, I don't buy factory ammo for anything; all my shooting is done with reloads made by me, and bullets cast by me. Brass is easy to come by for most any caliber (even the .38-55) and powder, primers, and reloading equipment is too. I collect wheel weights from garages and lead from job sites (when there's demolition), then alloy and cast in my back yard.

Wayne County Hose,

I agree, a gun is not a man's only defensive tool. It's the last resort.

How do you get both of them in that holster? (sorry, couldn't resist :) )
