It amazes me that so many people don't know what counter steering is.
I got one last year to chase my son on his CRF100F. What a great bike! Can easily carry 70 on the highway. Just bought some Alpinestars motox boots so I can get out on the trails more.I had a 650 for many years but the carburation/modern gas main jet always plugging up if it sat more than a few weeks was driving me nuts. I do miss the snap of that 650 motor but enjoy the WR250r's fuel injection.
I agree with the philosophy of not riding unless you have the strength needed to pick up your ride after a dump, but I'm really struggling with its practical application in real life! Since my bout with sepsis a few years ago, my strength has been way down. The sepsis whacked my whole body so bad (kidney and liver shutdown, 10 days in ICU) that I was unable to stand or walk afterwards. I've mostly recovered now, but my strength will probably never be what it was, and the Triumph is HEAVY. But the itch to ride is also BAD. I'm really not inclined to sell it and get something light. So what to do, what to do. My old carbs are probably gumming up as I speak and the gas in the tank is getting funky despite Stabil.
Maybe if I dump it, I can just lay there and call for help on my cell?

TW200 is a stupid fun bike and gets more thumbs-up and compliments than any bike I've ridden. We call it the "fat tire flier." You can still buy a new one, Yamaha just seems to alternate the color from white to blue year after year.A Hyosung GV250. (soon to be sold or traded for either a TW200 or a KLX110)
