I used .155 on a walk-behind Sears high wheel string trimmer. The kind where you thread two 18(?) inch hanks of string through fittings, which was a time-consuming PIA.

Pure frustration. The .155 might last 5 minutes, sometimes not.

Then the spindle bearing seized so I replaced that.

Sold the miserable thing.

My echo high wheel string trimmer is great and it uses up to .190 line. That’s what is needed for trimming tough vegetation. Mine takes 21” string sections and the string lasts a long time IF you cut with the tip of the strings and don’t jamb the whole trimmer into the vegetation at once.

With our cam lock heads, I can change three strings out in 60 seconds.
