I just spoke with one of the managers at the John Deere dealership in Medina, OH. I am thinking "someone" should have stopped into the dealership before spouting off on something he knew nothing about... The dealer had ONE (not two) 3000 Series CUT with the front axle off the ground at the front of his shop - for almost thirty days. It was not a front axle issue. It was a tire issue. He had a customer with a new 3000 Series with the Galaxy tires and one of the fronts had a problem. When he learned that it was going to take 3-4 weeks to get a replacement, he removed both of the front tires/wheels (wanted to keep them as a set) from another in-stock machine to get his customer going. He then waited just shy of 4 weeks for a replacement tire before he could remount on his stock machine and take it off the jack stands.
The only front end problems I have seen had two causes - lack of rear ballast and/or running in 4WD all the time. Period.
I think someone owes Martian (and others) a respectful apology.
