 How come sumo wrestlers don't skydive? 

Other than the obvious problem of getting the jump plane off the ground in the first place, I think it would just be too darn frightening for the folks on the ground to look and see a big man in a diaper coming in for a landing.

Sumo wrestlers don't sky dive due to their body mass. The large body of the Sumo has too much wind resistance, thus slowing their descent. All this talk of no-fly geese turkeys etc put me in mind of that episode of WKRP in cinncinati in which Carlson dropped live turkeys from a helicopter and Les Nessman was reporting. It cracked me up.

And all of the talk about sumo skydivers also reminds you of that episode!
That was probably the funniest single episode of a television show ever...

Les: It's a helicopter, and it's coming this way. It's flying something behind it, I can't quite make it out, it's a large banner and it says, uh - Happy... Thaaaaanksss... giving! ... From... W.... ... K... ... R... ... P!!

Les: No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!

Johnny: Les? Are you there? Les isn't there. (composing himself) Thanks for that on-the-spot report, Les, and for those of you who just tuned in, the Pinedale Shopping Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys. Film at eleven.

And finally, the classic line...

Mr Carlson: As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

Why can't Nick and Night replay them episodes. Or anyone else for that fact. I have not seen a rerun of WKRP in 15 years.

At the risk of totally hijacking Henro's thread, I'm not a big television watcher, but I would love to see all of those WKRP episodes again (all 90 of them!).

I have a large waterfowl farm with many breeds of geese and ducks. The geese in your picture are chinese (knob on head) and a Gray saddleback.
Geese have been domesticated to the point where they are to heavy to fly. I have a Gray Toulouse that weighs 40 lbs. When he walks the ground shakes.
