My biggest pet peeve is when:
I'm standing in a line at a store, or some such, politely waiting my turn like everybody else, and then the person behind the counter ignores all the real life people standing in front of them (with real sales $) to answer the phone for a possible sale! How is it the caller gets to skip to the head of the line just because they called?! What an insult.

It's at those time I wished I carried a cell phone (I don't! I'm possibly the last man in the world who doesn't). If I had one I'd call the store while standing three people back in line and talk loudly to the counterperson and ask my question! Maybe then they realize how rude it is to take the call. Of course everybody in line would be p*ssed at me!! Instead I just have to loudly comment "Guess I should had called instead of waiting here!"

(They should put caller on hold until it's their turn.)

I seem to always get that at the auto parts store to the point that I hate going there.
I once told the clerk that he should have a light on his forehead so that I could know when he's connected.

Cell phones are today what CB radio was back then only phones have a better range and cost more.

Oddly however using a cell while driving (hand held) gets U a fine while holding a mike on CB did not.

Gotta watch out for the auto share feature on those pics Wife slipped on the ice and got a couple bruises. I happened to be out of town, so she sent me the pictures. She forgot that she had the share feature set up on a social networking app.

20 minutes later the phone calls and texts started coming through from people wondering who hit my wife After a brief discussion with my mom and explaining that no one hit her, she busted her butt on some ice. We realized that the social networking site was uploading her photos automatically after a few other photos popped up. Hung up with mom real fast and called my wife to let her know what was going on. That would have been a little embarrasing if my wife was being playful

The answer to this question, "Why do people answer the phone if they are in the middle of something important?" is they answer it because(to them) the phone call IS more important than whatever they are in the middle of!

My phone helps me make money.

The quicker I return phone calls (or pick up the call in the first place), in general, it helps me to make more money.

For some reason, it seems businesses forget this.

Commuincation is a two way street, and I agree, texting is an easier means of communicating if the importance isn't "high" IMO, added it helps keep track of what was said.

Always gets my wife when I'm on a conference call and I'm in the bathroom and I have the phone on mute. One time I forgot to have the phone on mute and the question was "what is that noise":laughing:
