Sounds safer than getting off with the PTO spinning.

I'm pretty sure its 2,000 RPM going the opisite direction of your 540 RPM rear PTO. You'll need to slow it down & reverse direction to put a standard 3pt blower on the front.

It's a c ount r r clockwise blower so I'm good

There is a procedure to run the rear PTO with no weight in the seat....it's in the manual.Don't know if this applies to a mid PTO.

Because I have no one here with me and the safety won't let me run the pto and leave the seat

On my Kubota if you flip up the seat within a few seconds the PTO will keep running. That's how I run my chipper.

I'm trying to find out which direction my mid pto turns it's on a l series 4740 tractor each dealer gives me a different answer and I need to know what's correct as I'm gonna mod a snowblower but only if the pto spins the correct direction !!!! Gees can anyone speak from experience not I believe so !!! The blower is counterclockwise as I thought the kubota rear was counter but the front was clockwise !!!! Don't know how much you have sunk in that blower but if EITHER the rotation direction or rpm are wrong I'd sell it and start looking for a front mount unit that you don't have to modify. Search using "snow blower tractor mounted" as it is surprisingly elusive to just say snowblower, etc. You might even like Power Pak - Hydraulic Power Source for Skid Steers | Loftness which is an hydraulic motor driven blower made to mount on the front end loader skid-steer plates.
