Why so much titan attachments hate?

I bought a set of clamp on forks and forgot to order the stabilizer. I called them and they gave me the stabilizer for the same package price as if I had purchased it with the clamps.... and free shipping.

My brother saw them and wanted a set, which I order for him.

Well made, tough product.

After a couple years of use, I decided I wanted a 'real' set of forks for my ssqa loader. I ordered their cheapest set of forks:

Titan 46" Pallet Fork Attachment Skid Steer Quick Attach Mount 26 lb Capacity

Price including free shipping worked out to a few cents over a dollar pound. It is a very ruggedly built product and fits my ssqa perfectly. How they build it and ship it for that price, I can't figure out, but I am very pleased with it's quality.

I'd recommend the company to anybody.

My one and only purchase from Titan was roughly two years ago, and the product in question was a set of 42" forks. The fit and finish was terrible. The gaps at the bottom of the SSQA were roughly 1/2"-3/4" off. That screams lack of quality control, no matter what language the people building it spoke. The forks are virtually impossible to adjust without kicking the sh*t out of them. I literally hate the product.

Titans response was to offer a few dollars reimbursement to have a local welder fix the gaps. The entire process has turned me off from ever considering another purchase from them. I'll save my money and buy quality products. If I can't save enough, I can't afford them. Very simple. At least I learned my lesson on a <$500 attachment and not a several thousand dollar backhoe.

I bought the same forks a year ago. SSQA has about 1/4" gap at bottom which is ok with my setup. The spring loaded catches on the forks made adjustments very difficult because they kept hanging up on the detents. so I knocked them out. Now it can be adjusted easily enough with a short pry bar.

... Here is the reason stated fairly completely. The inconvenience of the fix at a shop is waaay more than a few dollars.

I hate them because all they do is import crap from China and flood the market undercutting and hurting small US businesses like Artillian, Everything Attachments, WR Long, Horst, and many many more here in the US with cheaply with this made stuff. Just read the about us page on the website there is nothing about "making" anything...just unloading containers and shipping. You all buy nice tractors and then look for the cheapest crap you can to attach to it,,,make no sense to me.

So you hate Sears, Northern Tools, AgriSupply, TSC, Walmart, Target, Kmart, even Donald Trump's lines of suits and ties.

Perhaps we buy from them because their level of equipment meets our needs and we can save $$$ for our tractors.

I just recently purchased a set of their clamp on pallet forks...no complaints here.

Same here, I worry more about bending the bucket than I do the forks, and they were the lightest ones they offered.

I used a set of their clamp in forks with my 1720 and never had an issue, The FEL would only pick up 1000# and the Stoll bucket had steel reinforced on the bottom of the bucket. The forks reached to the back of the bucket. and were always positioned where the reinforcement strips were located. It would take a lot more lift than my 1720 had to bend the bucket.

As I said in post #41 above, I had the clamp on forks. There was nothing wrong with them. They worked just as you would want, strong and heavy. I wanted the ssqa forks I got simply for ease of on/offedness.

I'm please with the quality of them both.

Couldn't find anything used or similar to this product for less or similar. I'm satisfied with the fit and quality and don't believe there is a better deal to be had.

They, in the past at least, have been a sloppy fit on the SSQA and have required shimming at the lower pin slots. In some cases if this is not done the attachment escapes the pin on one side and will damage the SSQA if not caught pretty quick - that is before any backdrag type of force is applied with the implement.

The answer to the OP has been stated. If the fit problem is ongoing, no amount of good luck experiences is relevant to that issue.

I got my pallet forks from them 2 years ago. Had the fitment issues for the pin pockets on the bottom. They offered to replace the frame or give me $70 to go away (technically pay a local welder to fix it).

As I can weld I pocketed the cash & welded 2 chunks of bar stock to the bottom of the pin pockets. Nice & tight now.

I popped a fork off abusing it a while back. Had a bucket spade on, forks pointed straight down back dragging with the front wheels lifted off the ground. Unsurprising it broke. I had to beat & grind the rail on the bottom to slide the forks to the side again. It never adjusted easily, but wasn't too bad.

All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase & the remedy for the fitment issue. Their response was fine, unlike what I've heard some others experienced.

I have the same set and have had no problems. I ordered mine before Memorial Day so I paid $499. Still a great deal. My only one complaint would be the built in two inch receiver should be flush with the front of the plate. You cannot slide a fork past it if you want to put the forks next to each other. You have to slide it over pull the bottom out and put it on the other side. Takes an extra 2 seconds but it should just slide over. Maybe they will or have fixed this minor issue. But I am very pleased with them.

I have ordered 42" forks, 60hp auger, and a 6' landscape rake from them. I have no complaints. I haven't used the auger yet, but it looks very stout and came with a slip clutch instead of shear pins. Got everything on one of their sales, and have been very happy. Just got to use my landscape rake the other day, and it is definitely an implement I wouldn't be able to do without now.

Very happy customer so far.
