Why the name Gulf of America makes sense

Actually Denali is the name that the Alaskan natives have always called the mountain and they were asking for this change for decades.

I think Denali is a better sounding name than McKinley, it sounds more majestic, like the mountain.
"In Athabascan, "Denali" means "the high one" or "the tall one." It is derived from the Koyukon language, which is spoken by the Indigenous peoples of the area surrounding the mountain."

The Gulf of America is surrounded by 2 countries. Both the United States and Mexico are in North America so they can both lay claim to the name.

If Mexico is so insistent on having waterways named after it, they should ask for the Gulf of California to be renamed the Gulf of Mexico because it is entirely in Mexico with no part of it being in the United States.

You forgot about Cuba.
