Why the name Gulf of America makes sense

My favorite name change is going back to fort bragg to appease people but wussing out and making it for Private Roland Bragg(much respect to him though) and not the original general so much fuss was made over. I know Liberty is a trigger word for some people though, can’t have that.

For over a hundred years, way before Alaska became a state, Mount McKinley was named Mount McKinley. A previous Democratic president decided to rename it Mount Denali because McKinley was a Republican and they wanted to erase the names of Republicans. What was the justification of renaming it after it had that name for so many years? Our present president restored the name it was called for so many years.

Doesn’t everyone(or most) who live there call it and called it Mount Denali though?

I have a friend that built a bunch of his houses on a street in town. He’s working on renaming it his last name with ville added on the end.

It’s unlikely that companies are going to choose a far more expensive production location and system when they are producing record oil and gas in the cheap to operate in Permian Basin.

Actually Denali is the name that the Alaskan natives have always called the mountain and they were asking for this change for decades.

It's been awhile since my trip to Mexico but I seem to remember one of their areas to be named Baja California. Someone may correct me on this.

Baja California (lower California) is the land peninsula west of the gulf of California. And in Mexico that gulf is more popularly referred to as the “Sea of Cortez.”

Street and building names change ever so often. We all experienced purge of everything confederate last two democratic administrations. So renaming 600 million acres of water does not constitute an argument knowing the past changes that happened. We all need put into perspective we as Americans are making the changes and not foreign entities. Once foreign entities enter into the equation we have no freedom or liberty. Get use to changes if you plan survive in this decade. We all need realize we live under same flag start finding common beliefs. Hello Americans, Good day..

Biden thought what he did would stop any drilling. Trump got around what Biden did so we could resume drilling.

Biden changed most of not all the names of the U.S. bases just to please the liberals.

I have no idea why you say that oil drilling had stopped? There are currently 10 million acres of federal lands leased to petroleum companies and they can drill when and if it fits their business plans. In the Permian basin, there has been drilling without stop on private and state lands in Texas and private, state, and federal lands in New Mexico for the past 5+ years. This is where the record oil production is coming from. Any places where drilling isn’t happening is due to it not being the most profitable locations.
