Just surfing around this morning, I discovered that Miller Tire in Ohio now has an in-stock replacement front wheel for the M7040/M7060 Kubota that will allow the easy mounting of a wider front tire, preferably radial. Here it is and it's $360. This would make mounting the 360/70R20 radials easy-peasy and make wider front tires a realiy for those who want them.

Miller does my farm calls with their service truck. Great to deal with.

I prefer bias R1's over radials hands down. Because I do quite a bit of asphalt driving between fields, bias ply, in this case Firestone, wear much better. Radials, because of their 'squirm', wear out much faster on asphalt, but do ride better.

If I wasn't 'roading' on hard surfaces, I'd be running radials. I'm not. Miller tire (or at least the service truck driver) agrees with me 100%.

I have Continental radials on the rear of my JD 4255 that have been on it over 20 yrs & have many, many 100's of miles on them with no noticeable asphalt wear.

Your road surface musty be different than ours is. Miller Tire recommends bias ply over radial up here.

You must be the first one saying that.

About 90% of the tractors here, from sub compacts to big boys, are setup with R1 radials exactly because we road the tractors a lot plus it gives a smother ride, more traction on soft surfaces and does improve stabilizer since it's a wider tire.

With no suspension, the the last thong on my mind is ride. What my air ride seat is for.

You are without any doubt the first person I have ever heard or read claiming bias tires wear longer than radials.
Your tire guy is probably paid on commission.

Here's photos of both my tractors radial rear tires that have traveled unknown miles on asphalt roads for over 20 yrs in my custom farming/hay baling operation baling between 75000 & 95000 rd bales which required a lot of road traveling.
