Blue,
Go to Bed Bath & Beyond and buy one of those "Pillow cover" things that zip at the end. It will look like a brand new pillow...
Don't ask how I know this trick...
David

David you might want to be more specific : Some Okies think Bed,Bath and Beyond is an escort service. :D

Why not just wash and dry it thoroughly? This should convince your Wife that your pillow is not "Nasty" anymore. My wife and I call it "Compromise. Just a thought.

Good idea.

A good clean in the washer would make it germ and mite free.

I am just trying to find a good pillow! Tried the foam, contoured etc. and I still have neck issues. Xrays show nothing out of wack but I just can't get comfortable! :(

Have you tried a Feather pillow or a Goose Down pillow? J.C. Penney carries different ones. Hope this helps.

Old pillows are a breeding ground for dust mites and bacteria, doo some quick research and happy pillow shopping.

You could be keeping yourself and others around you perpetually ill. It reminds me of the plumber who never daps, or seals a toilet to the floor. That lil crack allows death to breed under a toilet and people wonder why their always sick.

You mattress is TRASH after 10 years as well. I am not a germOphobic, not at all, I simply know better...

Out With The Old, In With The New, Live healthier and happier, or not, your call.

Uh-Oh... My mattress is almost as old as me, so I'd say it is about 14-15 years, if not more.

It is a bit worn out, but still works fine, so I'm keeping it! Besides, I use an under sheet which means I'm not touching the actual mattress anyway.
