I also disabled mine because of using pallet forks. I can't see what I am doing when seated, I have to stand to get a good clear view and not lance something.

There are some on here that might suggest a wife swap, You lucky dog.

I would love for my wife to enjoy the tractor like yours does! In addition to modifying the spring, you could add a spacer so the switch would disengage sooner with a lighter weight. I need to stand for fork work as well so fortunately mine does not have a switch on the seat.

Sounds like quite a few folks here should be sitting on aphone book or buying booster seats :)

I am not particularly tall at 6'1", but most of my height is in my torso, as my inseam runs just a tad under 32", so I just sit tall and make sure my neck is as straight as possible and seeing the fork tips is a piece of cake.

Seriously, try stretching a bungee cord across the seat and hooking it on something like the seat supports to either side of it to add the necessary down force to allow her to trigger the seat switch, as well as making sure that the seat is forward so she isn't leaning forward off the seat tocreach the pedals. Add more bungees or stronger ones to adjust the assist to her taste.

Either that or get her some lead lingerie for tractor wear, and you can wear some helium filled balloons to add a little antigrav for your assist.

I like where this is headed. Does TBN need a new forum section for this, or is this covered under "Rural Living"? Maybe under "Attachments"? he-he
