Geeze I hope I'm in half as good health as your grandfather when I turn 60.

Looks like the bull top near 1,000lbs and about 3.5 or 4.5 year old.
Sure would be a good looking mount.

Yep he had it mounted. In Idaho you only get one a lifetime and he waited 38 years to draw a permit!

Not saying any more.

ATV with big tires.

Hahaha, know the feeling all to well Dave. My family are all big hunters and have had some success over the years which is mounted on the walls of the living rooms. When we were dating my wife said don't even think that you're going to put dead animals on my walls! I tried once and haven't since. Needless to say all my mounts are still in the ranch house back home!

Alen, The goose population has remained stable for the last 6 years. The park and pond is for waterfoul only.You can observe the fowl from the roadway but there is no access into the park, roads, walkways etc. there is a large grazing area for them. they have been no problem so far. The park is right on the edge of White river. During the dry spell last year the pond almost dried up and one of the large farmers brought a tractor and relift and pumped water from the river up into the pond so it would not dry up and kill the fish.

I know how you feel. My Mom passed away when she was 72 (died on her birthday in fact). All the kids kind of half-expected her to outlast all of us she was such a dynamo. Blew us all away when she got cancer and lost the battle so quickly.

My Dad is now 83, and we don't expect him to go much longer. He has had Parkinsons for several years now, and is really not doing well.

However, we had a friend who kept going to 93. He was a ranger-naturalist in Yosemite for 63 years! We took him up to a local park on his 92nd birthday because it was a good place to spot golden eagles. Sure enough, we had only been there for about 10 minutes when a group of 4 or 5 goldens came looping by above us. What a treat for him. We then went on a hike, and when the trail split, one fork going uphill, and the other more-or-less flat, old Carl chose the uphill fork. What a guy! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
