Wildlife How-To's Guide

/ Wildlife How-To's Guide #2
Thanks for this, Ken. I'm thinking of doing 5 acres of bird habitat for pheasant, dove and turkey. I'll have to modify the plants a bit because nothing grows in mid summer around here. It quits raining on the 4th of July and doesn't rain again until 1 October. The mild winters mean fall plantings will make it through just fine. Field peas make a great crop, along with oats, winter wheat and barley. I'm also thinking about soybeans and millet. Legumes in with the cereals will reduce the nitrogen requirements.
