I'm not sure about tractor tires but I do know car tire manufactures are allowed plus/minus 5% difference from nominal size.
Along the same Lines. Does anyone know if there's a difference between a 6.00-12 and a 6-12 tire?
Here's a comparison between the old and new tyres, the Bridgestones are 5.5" wide across the lugs, new ones 4". Unfortunately the old Bridgestones have splits between the lugs that go right through in some places, they're probably 30 years old though.

I have been looking for replacement 5-12 tires for a long time now . I have Bridgestone originals and the lugs are deep & aggressive unlike most of the shallow replacments available which are only 1/2" deep . I just found a source which have 3/4" deep lugs that are made in China . I plan on ordering them in the morning after I confirm the size .
