Will a JD 2320 fit in a 6x12 dump trailer

I have be thinking about purchasing a dump trailer for awhile now. I'm in the middle of a project where it would be really nice to have one. I have found a good deal on a 6X12, but I am wondering if the 2320 will fit in it. I have measured and without anything on the 3pt I think it will. Putting the bucket in the truck bed is always an option as well. Has anyone used a similar trailer to move thier 2320 around?

Yes, you should be good to go. Hang the bucket over the front if necessary to get the balance right. Or back it in and hang the bucket over the rear.
Likely won't get any attachments hanging on at the same time, which may be a consideration, to avoid a couple trips. Should be good for width.

Three small considerations:

1. If you put the bucket in the truck, you can't get it out without taking the trailer off.

2. Raising the FEL is great, if you trust your hydraulics.

3. Loading the tractor backwards may not be ideal front-back weight distribution on the trailer.

Sounds like a great idea, though. How you gonna load it, with removable ramps?

My 2320 with 200 CX FEL was delivered yesterday afternoon. I had my tape measure out b/c my wife insists on getting a snowblower for our new unit and I was concerned that the 47" I have seen talked about here might not be wide enough. Anywho...since I had the tape measure out, I did measure the length from the bucket (in the down position) to the end of the 3 point and it is just under 12 ft (approx 11' and 8").

I load my 3520 in my 12x6 dump trailer no problem. I can get it all the way in with the bucket if I don't have anything on the back (curl the bucket under). However, even the iMatch on makes it too long so I have to curl the bucket and let it rest on the front trailer wall.

Wow, I never thought about getting a dump trailer at all to carry my unit. Hmmm, seems to warrant some consideration.

How do you load it? Ramps?

Yep exactly. I have a 2007 Load Trail Dump Trailer, and it has ramps that are stored beneath the trailer. There are little doors that are held closed with pins. Just open the doors, pull out the ramps and place them on the trailer deck edge (there is a lip to lock them in place). I have no problem and works great. The ramps work really well for other things too. I often put them in place and use a sheet of plywood to make a smooth ramp deck for loading push mowers, our chipper, etc. Also moved our piano a couple of times this way as well. :thumbsup:
