Not all gas stations around here sell diesel.
Of the stations that do some sell bio diesel.

Can this be run in my tractor? If so any issues if it mixes in the tank with non bio diesel?

There are no compatibility issues mixing regular diesel and bio. I get most of my diesel in the socialist republic of Portland, OR where it must be a minimum of 5% bio. It burns ok however me and my friends have been having lots of fuel filter problems in our 18 wheelers since have had to start using it. You should be able to use it with no problem as long as it is only a blend of bio and not full bio. Keep in mind though if there is anything in your fuel system, algae or what ever the bio will loosen all this stuff up and it's going straight to your fuel filter, might want to have a spare on hand.

According to a service bulletin from KIOI, 5% bio is OK, any problems associated with more than 5% are not covered by the warranty.

One of the biggest issues is quality of the BioDiesel. If you get a high quality BD, then there are no issues, except loosening up junk that is in the tank. The older your machine... the more you are going to need a spare fuel filter.
There are ASTM standards for BD, but there is little checking to ensure the BD actually meets those standards... this is the biggest issue. I believe it is Minnesota that mandates diesel be 5% BD. From what I remember they had a bad batch of BD and there were lots of issue with it. If you ensure you have a quality, fresh supply of BD... then you should have no issues. BD is actually one of the best lubricates for the injector pump and the injectors. The injection system on these diesels is actually a fairly low pressure injection system, 2200 psi, at least it is on my CK30. I suspect the newer machines may be running at higher pressures to help meet emissions. New common rail car/truck diesels are running over 30,000 psi.
Bottom line... get quality BD and run it happily.

I noticed to day one of the stations where I buy diesel has a notice posted that it is low sulfur diesel.
Any issues with that?

No but sulfur is the lubricating chemical, so you should run an additive with the diesel. I run Power Service White Bottle for winter temps and the Gray Bottle in the summer for the added lubricating chemicals.

The local stations around here have Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD), is that is what you meant? If it is just Low Sulfur Diesel I wouldn't worry about the additive but for Ultra Low I use it.

Yup it is Ultra low. I have been adding Power Service White bottle at every refuel so hopefully that has it covered.

Caveat: I'm not an expert on this subject.
However, I thought one of the reasons for using biodiesel blends was that the higher natural lubricity of biodiesel compensated for the lubricity loss of the ultra low sulfur petroleum-based fuel. That is, you shouldn't need a lubricating additive with biodiesel or a biodiesel blend...though you might need an anti-gelling agent with some of the higher-percentage biodiesels when operating equipment in cold climates.
I'm willing to be contradicted by somebody who is more knowledgeable about this stuff though...

RD- you are correct, Bio-D has much more lubricative properties than ULSD. Actually, adding Bio-D to ULSD, enough for a 2% mix, will give you more lubrication addition than anything else on the market that I know of. You are also correct in that Bio-D has a higher wax point(temp) than ULSD and an additive for that should be used in cold climates. In real cold climates, use of Bio-D is strongly discouraged due to gelling (waxing).
