You have enough tractor so long as the field isn't too overgrown. If the field is high, you don't have enough balls.

If grass/weeds is very high operator could choose lower gear & if it's still too much load on tractor take a smaller cut!

I have a kioti 7320 which is about the same power and weight as your Kubota and pull a 3 point 10.5 foot Shulte shredder and it does great. I am thinking about getting a 12' batwing - the super wide 3 point mowers can be a little rough on the ground (edges like to dig in if the ground is uneven).

Howse declared bankruptcy and liquidated about eighteen months ago.

You will have to adapt gearbox parts from another brand.

Howse used gearboxes made by others.

Should be able to get parts for years to come.

Bingo. 12' BW cutters, two 4's and one 5' follow the ground very well and do not pull hard.

They also take up little room in the barn.

I recently shopped both 12' and 15' BWs. Really, really wanted the new LP 3512 HD 12' cutter with optional built in OR clutch but it would have cost nearly $3,000 more than the Woods BW 15.50, 15' cutter that I did buy.

I just got the 12' and it works great.

Is this a new model or are you talking about the 3712, been looking at them for a bit and fixing to purchase one, wondered if they were coming out with a new model ?

Sorry, it is the 3712, not 3512. Should have looked it up rather than trusting my memory.

I really like the 3712 and very much wanted it but it's just too expensive vis a vis bigger, heavier, good quality models from Bush Hog and Woods.

I very much wanted the (optional) built in ORC available on the 3712 and not available on anything else that I have seen.

Ah ok , yes it’s a nice unit. I didn’t realize it was available with a over run clutch.

It's an option that I've not found on any other BW.

Saves your PTO brake.

Yes that would be a nice option.
