Will it last

I just removed the flick-mixer from the kitchen sink because it was leaking. I pulled it apart cleaned all the inside including all the rubber seals thoroughly, sprayed it with lanolin spray reassembled it, reinstalled it and there are no more leaks WILL THIS LAST or have I wasted my time.

Very sorry for lack of explanation, the leak was not from the spout but from were it swivels

Ok I'll bite ! Is a flick mixer a garbage disposal ? I never heard that term before .

I think northerners call it a Faucet we call them taps and this style is a flickmixer

Allen, I think Vin sits down there on the other side of the world, makes up funny names for common items and then laughs when we guess wrong! But I agree with you. Now the real question is does it spin the other direction down there?

I don't know about the brand you have but, around here you can buy a rebuild kit .new washers, seals etc; What did you call that water spigot ? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Any time you attempt plumbing you waste your time IMHO
Plumbing parts haven't evolved.
We still are sold wax to seal a toilet to the floor and hope for the best.
Thats just one example.
