For me it did. I was told its common to replace 3 sets of front wheels for every set of rear wheels.

Last summer I changed my AG front tires after almost 300 hr. of use, the rears were still like new, more tread more traction.

I am hoping the worn front tires work like turf tires,,, mine are staying,,,

I have 1/4" of tread in the center. The tractor will be used for mowing.

Depends what you are working on, deeper tread really only helps in the mud and snow.

Ran a worn out set of 14.9-28's for years, ran chains in the mud and snow. Wet hay field was pulling baler and wagon and not cutting in, would spin out on top. Same tractor with new tires (yay!) Would bite right in and if it spun, chew the field up and dig a hole. Take the new tires, but you might be fine waiting.
