Will water and sand be the next oil?

We don't buy expensive coffee or pop. When we buy pop on the road, it's a buck at McDonalds. When we buy bottled pop at the store, its buy 5 six-packs for $10 and get the 6th six-pack free. That comes out to 36 bottles of pop for $10.... about .28 per bottle. :laughing:

Holy Mother of Martha - you guys just aren't OUT IN THE COUNTRY. Yes - I keep my one dog up to date on shots. No - he is not licensed. BTW - I wonder who would license dogs out here. Also, BTW, who would care if my dog out here is licensed? BTW, who, out here would even check to see if my dog is licensed???? My NEAREST neighbor is 4.5 miles distant by road. I live one mile off the small paved county road. I get AT THE MAX - six visitors a year. Hopefully, one of the visitors is a County Deputy Sheriff - checking to see that everything is still all right here.

And you guys are talking about the price of a quart of water. Man - what is this world coming to - -- buying water???? I have NEVER bought a cup of coffee from a place like Starbucks either. For that matter - I've never been in a place like Starbucks.

The water from my big 'ol spring is just fine - I'll take a jug of it with me if I'm traveling and it does just great making all the coffee this old fart will ever drink - thank you.

If my dog never left my property I wouldn't bother to license him, either. He goes most places that I do though so I do try to be legal.
On the other hand he doesn't wear a collar, so his tags are on my key ring.

My spring has been failing the water tests, which is why I'm buying water. I am trying to decide what filter I'm going to buy to clean it up.

My dogs out here have never worn collars. Call it extremely rare but a fellow down the road "lost" a dog that had his collar get tangled in old barbed wire. Night came - the coyotes found the dog and killed and partially ate him.

Ha, ha - - this time of year my spring gets a bit "spunky" also. Smells of sulphur - not real bad but its there. Later in the fall it will clear.

If the cats would dig up the moles, I'd be cool with them. I'm not so fond of them fishing in my goldfish pond however.

My water turns green if I leave it in the sun for a couple of days... it also rusts everything including my stainless steel. I just ordered a filter which hopefully will clean up both problems.
You are right, it's rare; but I know of two dogs who died because of collars, and a friend's wife who is a doctor revived their lab after the dog's brother got his tooth caught in the first pup's collar.

My dog does have a collar with his ID and rabies tag. When we go into the "big city" - I slip his collar on. He gets all excited because he know when he gets "duded up" with his collar - we are hittin' the big city lights.

I found a show on Netflix called “explained” the first episode is called “The Worlds Water Crisis” lol

That Mink video was cool to see. We have some short tailed weasels that are great mousers. They are amazing to see work the hay bales to get the mice.
