Let us know what you end up with on the chains for your TC 40DA. If you need any help with the low profile chains my dealer has in stock, let me know.

Whatever you end up with, I'm sure folks here would appreciate hearing how they work out for you... both for fit and traction.

Guys: I've been off line and haven't got shopping for chains. Caring for aging parents, funeral of a friend and work have been very consuming. I will definitely post what I find out as soon as I get some info.

I bought a new set of double ring chains for my MF135 almost 6 years ago. I use them mostly for snow plowing (with a pickup snowplow on the 3-point) and some in the woods. They do clean very well since the links flop around some when unloaded. Not terrific on ice since there are no sharp edges, but on the other hand easy on the tires. They cost $325 back then, and the tire size is 14.9 x 24. I recommend them for mixed use, and maybe something sharper for ice. Chains make a world of difference.

Did you ever find chains for you TC40DA? I ran chains on my old 2WD tractor, but have been debating getting a set for the new tractor. Thanks,

Barry: I've narrowed it down to two choices. One set (Walco Twinway-Six) is a standard set that would require me to increase the spacing to 3" between the fenders and the R4's and the other set (Aquiline/Wallingford) would fit as is. I am still waiting to hear back from the Canadian source of the Aquiline. I don't really want to spread the wheels for the Twinway-Six chains.
