Winter Coming

Do you have a suggestion for getting my 61 inch wide tractor down a 36 inch wide path? My solution is to hand my step son the shovel.

Widen the walk way . My northern Michigan cottage has a walk way that I was just able to get a 48 inch blower on a lawn tractor down. Last spring I got a 72 inch 3 point blower to replace the lawn tractor so this summer I moved some shrubs and rocks so I could get the L39 with the 3 point blower down the walk way.

Old weather proverb: Fog in August brings heavy snows in winter. Hope not! We have had several foggy mornings this year. All we got last winter was a lot of ice storms. The Mahindra 4110 was tucked safely in the pole barn hooked up to the trickle charger. NE Missouri.

ditto ... ordered a rear mounted Frontier 64" last week. Feeling more confident but I'm not about to taunt Mother Nature with "BRING IT!" :)

I always wanted to say that...now I'm sure I'll have to pay for it. Feel free to remind me how foolish that was when we have 5' drifts and it's
-20, the wind is howling and my Kubota fails to start for the first time.

Widen the walkway out so you can run one of these down it.

Here in Missouri we get at least 1 a year, it just varies as to how far north or south the worst of the storm goes. My personal "worst" is 3 in freezing rain. Really plays havoc with the trees :(

My personal worst was the ice storm of 98. 5 straight days of freezing rain.

Found this. Looks like it works ok. Would be worried about damaging roof though.

That looks easier than shoveling off the roof off but I would probably only do that on the barn where if I damaged the roof I could just put a bucket under it until I got it fixed, whereas if I did it on the house, "someone" would not let you rest until the roof was fixed.
