I get cold feet because the front tires throw snow on the platform then with the wind chill, BRRRRRRRRRR
I had some 1/4" plexiglass and under $10 in metal and bolts I think I have fixed my problem short of a cab.

I got 2 1/4" muffler clamps and mounted them to the GB loader bracket. It takes about 3 min to remove of put on.

You must be going awfully fast to kick the slush up that high! Have you thought about angling the top of the plexiglass forward a bit? That way it could serve double duty as an air dam and keep that front end on the ground at high speeds!

Great idea! I wonder how long before something bangs into those (note order of words /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif), though. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Of course, it would take a decent bang to break the 1/4" plexiglas. Thanks for sharing...

Hmm wouldn't angling the top FORWARD cause the front end to lift as you got up to 3 or 400 mph? I guess you need to had more front end ballast.

DDT,
I agree, the plexiglass does keep the snow off and also mud. My MF 1250 has plexiglass shields in the same place. The MF 1240-50-60 come with it from the factory.

Mdbarb,

I ALWAYS keep my tractor under 100mph . . ./w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

That way, I can minimize ballast - more fuel efficient. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
