If winter is over then I wonder what the white stuff is pilled up on my lawn? I am planning in leaving my snow blower on until June!

Well, I'm in Middleboro, MA about 20 min. from the Cape Cod and we received about 6" of heavy wet snow. Had to use the FEL, the snow blower just kept clogging. That puts us right around 95" of snow so far this season in Middleboro.

We picked up a foot from this last storm and it's still dumping. Waist deep powder shots skiing today, more to come tomorrow.

I'm so happy to have a tractor to keep the driveway cleared for quick getaways.

Well...to echo what others from Western PA have said...after waking up to new snow every morning this week...

Yea, right... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

It is??? Funny, I plowed another 4" inches of the white stuff today! How about sending some of that rain this way?

I wouldn't start hooking up the MMM quite yet - this IS New England after all...don't like the weather - wait 5 minutes, right?

I'm on the MA-NH border - we got @ 1 foot of snow today - probably 2 feet now stacked up all over the lawns etc. I spent two hours snowblowing (walk behind - I am SERIOUSLY considering getting one for my CUT!) after dinner - enough already! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

'Course it does mean I have a couple hours of seat time tomorrow to push back / clean up all those snow piles that the plow guy leaves behind... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not expecting to do any mowing for quite some time yet! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Dan,

You have a "plow guy"??? Do you mean for your driveway or the roads?

Around my area, CUT's with 6' blades are the plow guys.

bczoom -

Between buying a new Toro snowblower a year BEFORE getting the CUT (so no CUT snowblower purchsed) - and the fact that I sometimes have to travel - we have a guy plow our driveway. It's not super long or anything - maybe 200' or so in total - just more than my wife feels comfortable doing herself.

She has figured out how to start & use snowblower on her own recently - but Saturdays' dumping was fairly heavy & wet - so I don't know how a plow / blade on my CUT would handle it.

So I need to go out Sunday and clean up the snow piles the plow guy left around our driveway. While I can "eventually" clean things up with the FEL - I certainly realize that it is NOT the best "tool" for the job!

I'm going to continue watching ebay for any used 3PH snowblowers....that would really make my life a bit easier... mostly it will save me a bunch of time!

Cheers,

Dan

If your snowblower is clogging then you are not using it right. My 64" Puma had no problem whatsoever with 12" of heavy wet snow. It doesn't throw it as far but it did throw it with no clogs or broken shear pins. Run at PTO rpms in low gear and take it a little slower than normal.
