Winter, what do you like about it?

Yeah, Most guys are satisfied with just a small hole in the snow.

Sometime around 1983 and 1996, there was snow flurries in Manatee and Hillsborough Counties. I can recall six times that there were snow flurries and a light dusting in Southwest Florida when I lived and worked there. Several times there was accumulation in the Panhandle. But you are correct about the pleasant winter weather down there around Lakeland-Polk County.

Ice fishing is fun, snowmobiling, snow boarding. Also its easier to heat with free wood than it is to find a source of free electricity for the AC!
I think as a kid I had probably more fun in the winter than the summer. Snow forts and snow ball fights and crazy toboggan runs and you could have crazy jumps and crashes without real injuries! Also skating and hockey is good fun then and now.
I probably could live somewhere without real snowy winters but I'd hate to move to places with high heat and humidity for most of the year... Well maybe if I could go surfing most of the time, but having to work in that weather is not for me!

The thing i like best about winter is It's a lot closer to being over now than it was back in October.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at my nose, Yuletide carols being song by a choir, and folks dressed up like Eskimos.:thumbsup:

I sit in the restaurant and I get to watch all the lowlanders slide around in the parking lots and thru intersections... dinner AND a movie.

Whats not to like.
