Winterizing my K

Can someone please help out us newbies by telling us how to prepare our Kubota tractors for winter? I plan to use my 6100DT for moving a little snow, but otherwise it will be sitting idle a lot. Change the oil? Fuel additives? Any other suggestions?

What kind of weather will it see as it sits idle? Will it be indoors or outside?

Drive it around once a week or at least start it and do nothing other than normal PM.

Mine may sit for weeks at time over winter too.

I wondered if anyone bothers to position all pistons so they are collapsed to minimize the chrome cyclinder from exposure and no need to spray them with anything. I thought this might make the seals last longer.

On the BX24 you can position pretty much everything so no chrome is exposed. I wasn't sure though if it's bad to keep the Hoe under hydraulic load to accomplish this?

This year's winterization routine goes like this:

Drop the fertilizer spreader, put on the rear blade.

Change oil & filter.

Replace radiator screen with piece of cardboard having a 6" dia hole in center.

Keep fuel level as low as possible. (I can already hear people picking up rocks to throw at me.)

Replace fuel filter to get any water out of system and minimize chances of gelling.

Keep indoors in unheated building.

Plug in block heater at temps in the teens or below.

Ordinarily I would check anti freeze but it was changed last year so I won't bother.
