Wire from alternator on Ford 1920

Ive had this tractor for about 20 years and there were never wires run to the pins.

It looks like something has been added to the pins and the connector filled with potting compound.

It might be easier to run an 8 gauge wire from the alternator to this end of the new battery wire.

So did the battery stay charged before the wire came off?

Did you replace the wire to the alternator now?

Is it charging?

To be honest, I cant remember. The tractor was at my fathers and he put in a new battery a year ago and I guess for some reason, never put the wire back on.

I havent yet had a chance to put the wire back from the alt to the battery, so I have to jump it until I get to it, I hope its today.
