Kubota BX24
I've scheduled a Kubota service visit but have to wait a full week, so thought I'd throw the question here in the meantime.

Was using my BX24 yesterday and stopped it to fully close hood which wasn't locking correctly. I definitely gave it too hard a slam and it would not restart. No power even in the 1st key position. Got off, opened hood, saw nothing obvious but gave a jiggle to the lead marked with black and heard power return. It then cranked as normal but the engine kept running when I turned it off. Had to throttle down and it did sputter out after a few. I disconnected battery to be safe.

The same no turnoff issue occurred 2 years ago and I had a solenoid and relay replaced. Wondering if that's what the problem is again.

I'd begin by cleaning battery terminals and connectors. Reconnect and tighten securely. Follow ground lead down to frame. Clean and tighten there as well. Wiggling cables should not cause loss or gain of power. Cables should be clean and tight. This may even solve your shut off solenoid issue.
