The three point hitch on my DK45 SE stopped working while I was plowing snow. It won't lift up. The front loader and everything else I can see is working. Seems like the hydraulic lines are all attached. What do I look at next?

Most tractors have a knob directly under the front of the seat. If the knob got closed accidentally the 3 pt. work work. The knob controls the speed the 3 pt. lowers but if closed it work work at all.

If that's the knob with the rabbit and the turtle on it then I have turned it all the way clockwise and all the way counterclockwise and in neither position will the hitch lift :(

is the rear remote stuck in detent? this will deadhead the hydraulics and 3 point wont work.

also, make sure yellow draft control is fully forward

How do I tell them if the rear remote is stuck in detent. I'm not really sure what that means.

if you have rear remotes you have a lever to control them. this lever moves foreward and back. on my tractor there are 2 levers. one will lovk in foreward or reverse position. this is a locking detent. if nothing is installed on the hydraulic system...that is deadheading.

heres a pick of mine...the location may be different on yours.

Looks like I don't have that lever for the rear remote. There's a cut out where that lever would go.

Unless I am mistaken that tall lever to the left of the picture with the big knob at the top left of the picture is the control for the remote hydraulic coupler on the rear of the tractor. if that lever is pushed either forward or backwards from center it will deadhead, and you will not have 3 point control. Move that lever forwards and backwards to see if it is centered.

PS that orange cover next the the rubber boot at the bottom of the picture is the cutout for a second rear coupler lever, if installed.

Yep, that was it. That lever wasn't centered. Thanks a million!!

ok, i thought that was all that was wrong. The best way to prevent this again is to make a small loop of hose and connect to the unused rear ports....like this

loop.jpgand just so you know. letting it deadhead (locking it without having anything connected) can damage the hydraulic pump
