/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Yikes. The 60 and 72 aren't much different, but I was walking all over my deck with no noticeable buckling or even deformation. Sometimes to just make the walk shorter around the beast. Granted, I weigh a little less, about 175, but the extra 25 pounds shouldn't make that much of a difference. I would contact them about the paint issue. That just does not seem up to par for such a "reputable" piece of equipment.

I don't have shear pins (standard slipclutch), but I did have a hell of a time getting the PTO shaft on too. Just awkward, I guess, with all the shields and crap. I think I broke a bigger sweat getting the shaft on than actually hooking the mower up to the 3pt hitch!

Double Yikes!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

GSS, I sure hope that my BB60CW is more like yours than Mgrick's!

Expect to get it next week. I paid $1,175 but that is with slip clutch and chain guards...specifically wanted a Woods unit because of the quality it is supposed to have...otherwise I would have went with a KK for half the price...

I haven't use it a lot yet, but I did do quite a few hours on Friday the 4th. Light to medium work, ie grass up to larger trees/bushes. The only negative things I can say at all so far are:

1. It's heavy and was making the Cub work for it's dinner.

2. I completely stalled the Cub once when the tailwheel dropped into a groundhog hole and the blades bit squarely into the dirt. (but that's not the mower's fault)

3. Again, the PTO shaft was a little finicky, but I think it's just their nature. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bill:

I purchases a Woods BB60 with slip clutch and chain guards with my L-3130. I love both of them! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I mowed 4 acres of the back of my property that used to be a corn field. Th grass and weeds were as high as the tractor hood. No problem with thw Woods BB60. I even used it to chop down some meduim sized multifloral roses that were along the perimeter of the property. Took care of them no problem...however the noise was substantial.
