It's reasonable to say that most Americans carry some type of insurance on their home and it's contents. This could cover possible loss from theft, unforseen accidents and flood/fire damage. It provides a backup plan and gives some peace of mind, but we still need to be on guard and have prevention as a priority. We cannot throw caution to the wind!

What's a better add-on to our existing insurance policy than a smokeless woodburning furnace that virtually eliminates creosote, the #1 reason for chimney fires that can burn down your home and possibly kill someone. The Kuuma VaporFire furnaces burn up to 99% smokless, and no smoke also means no creosote. In a 12 hour burn (720 minutes) you can have less than 5 minutes of actual smoke, just at the start-up, which is 99.9% smokeless. Can it get much better than this?

These claims are backed up by an EPA certified lab, Intertek, that tested our VaporFire furnaces and showed results of 99% combustion efficiency, greater than 80% overall efficiency, and less than 1 gram/hr. of emissions. You can only have results like this with a virtually smokeless furnace.

It's one thing to say your furnace is clean burning, great, and efficient, but it's quite another to back it up with concrete information that a potential customer can sink his/her teeth into. Our customers get safety, efficiency, environmental enhancement, and added peace of mind in one package as they heat their homes with the Kuuma VaporFire furnaces. This was our intent, goal, and driving force. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

I was pleased to learn that every product your Company manufactures is made in America. I researched the web previously before posting.

Everything is manufactured at our plant in Tower, MN and all of our parts are ordered from vendors in the US. We are a smaller company (fewer than 10 employees) that has really grown over the past 2 years with our furnace line.

We have always been know around the Iron Range for our quality sauna stoves, but our furnaces have exploded in recent years with our patented design all across the country.

But then you still have to cut and carry in all that firewood. I'm replacing my woodburning fireplace with a propane fireplace this summer for that very reason.

I also USUALLY look forward to the exercise and getting outside. :)

Yes, much better to feed the stove from outside. I would never have another stove that was fed from inside the house.

Yes, inside stoves are messy. I accept that for the simplicity and relatively low cost to install one. My wife does not complain about the mess as she loves having thehouse in the mid 70s and not paying for fuel oil.

Excercise? It is what keeps me going and enjoy everything thing aobut 'wooding' from cutting to burning. I have a hydraulic splitter but it only gets used on tought stuff (knots/crotches/twisties) all else (around 90%) is hand split.

Looks nice, made in my state.

Sometimes electronic controls are finicky or get zapped - seem to hear that a lot of late in stoves. Makes a person wonder when it's an advertized feature, but the way things are I guess.

My house is set up for a wood boiler furnace, so not for me. Otherwise I'd look closer at it.

Since the house is set up for wood heat, indoor furnace is much easier - don't have to dress up to go feed the fire. Got a wood room so no big mess.

I thought this thread was going to be about the increase in cost of homeowner's insurance if you install a woodburner.

Our insurance company only stipulated that the stove be installed by a professional company, not do-it-yourself. It added $25.00 to the annual cost of homeowner's insurance. That's all.

We are on our third year of burning wood as our primary heat source. My goal was to reduce gas usage by 50%. We have far exceeded that. It is more like 80%. The gas we use now is for hot water, cooking and the clothes dryer. The furnace only comes on if we are away for an extended period of time.

I really like going into the woods, harvesting my own trees off of my own land, managing the forest for firewood production, splitting, stacking, etc... It is a great past time, activity, sport, etc... and about the only excercise I get anymore.

Looks like a really good return. What type of furnace are you using?
