Ask yourself, WHAT DOES A TURBO COMPRESSOR DO?
ANSWER
In the most fundimental expression, The impeller blades of the compressor add VELOCITY to the air molecules.
When those molecules are slowed, results in increased PRESSURE. (Bernoulli would show us that fast moving air molecules will actually Reduce pressure, and so lift airplane wings)
So all a turbo does, in simpe terms , is to add HEAT to the incoming charge.
Of course, if the heat is removed, and the pressure is maintained, that Means there are MORE air molecules in a given volume. If only we could increase the O2 percentage ... (Like NOx ;-)
So those stove fans work on the principle of a bi metal junction? Same as a temperature probe.
I want one that is a Sterling engine so I can SEE how it works ;-)
