I have a WoodMaxx FM62H flail mower on order. I have seen videos with FM62 on back of a BX. I am wondering how a B2910 will handle 716 lbs on back of the 3 point. Can it be used without the FEL on?
Thanks for any reply's.

If you have the PTO HP (which you should, with your B2910...be a bit on the low side though), there's no doubt you can run the mower.
As far as 3PH, your B2910 can lift just over 1600 lbs. My guess is if you want to mow without your loader installed, you'll need front suitcase weights. The only way to really determine that is by trying to transport the mower raised...you'll know if you need front ballast, I'll guarantee you!

I have an EA aerator that weighs right around there. On my BX25 if I come up a hill with it up on the 3pt and with nothing on the front it lifts the front wheels a foot off the ground. I can slowly lower the aerator and place the front wheels back on the ground. Was rather exciting the first time....
Now I have built an easily removable weight bracket for the front end that lets me add weight and not have the front loader on (it gets in the way too often around the house) and that works well for me. A "B" is slightly larger so on the flat you will be fine, if you have any hills it will be dependent on the steepness.

PTO hp is 22. That should be plenty for my land. Nothing to clear. I have been running JD RC over it for years.

Yep...I have a Caroni Flail Mower...initially, I went for a Woodmaxx, but delivery kept getting delayed. Since you're probably done with mowing for 2017, as long as you get it before March or April, shouldn't be any problems.
Flail mowers don't have the HP requirements a rotary cutter has, so I don't expect any problems other than having to slow down on occasion.
I really like mine...I was mowing the field (almost all grasses and some brush) with a 72" finishing mower. That left way to many clumps of grasses. The flail mower does a much nicer job. I have the "Y" blades for brush on it right now. I may go with the duckbill blades next year for a better cut.

I'm considering adding a verge mower (basically a flail mower that can offset (50" to about 70") and tilt for an embankment I'd like to keep trimmed as well as better brush mowing on the periphery of the field.

I assume you got the side shift. There's a side shift kit available for the Caroni but I've found a permanent offset works quite well. My tractor, a Deere 4520, is a lot larger than your B2910 and can easily handle the offset weight when raised for transport.

We'll be looking forward to your report and pictures when your mower is delivered!

I have a set of weights for my JD front mower. If needed I can make a bracket for them on front of the Kubota. They weigh about 50lbs each. Hope that works.

Might be easier (and cheaper...maybe) to buy a weight bracket from Kubota

I have metal, a welder and lots of time. Only problem is Green weights on front of a Orange tractor. May have to paint them Black.

Reading over the big flail mower thread. I thought I read that you cannot change from Y to Duckbills on a Caroni because the spacing is different between the 2.
I will post in the other thread when I get it next April. I will not need to use it until June.

I don't know...don't recall reading that, but if it's the one I'm thinking about...huge thread! Thanks for bring that up though. Island Tractor has had a Caroni for several years and I'll ask him, as well as investigate myself.
