just bought a kubota B2650 and a woods grading scraper (GSS60). Wondering if you set your 3 pt hitch to float or do I set it to a fixed depth. Does anyone have any tips for me
My first attempt at my 1200 ft driveway was not very good
Thanks

To start with, adjust your top link so that the front cutting edge is just a bit higher than the rear cutting edge. Then when you let the implement down, let it down so that it just touches the ground, have the hitch hold some of the weight, not all, just some. Now that will get you started and you can make adjustments with the top link and the 3pt hitch as needed.

A 1200' drive is a fair amount of grading to be done and maintain, you might want to think about getting a hydraulic top link. That will allow you to easily fine tune your adjustments for different conditions that you may have on your drive.

Good luck and please report back. ;)

It will a help us a lot if you give us more info and photos speak a thousand words as Brian said. What is the material make up of the drive and what is the condition (hard packed or loose, rutted, potholes, wash board, etc). How is your grader set - blade depth, scarifier setting etc. Your travel speed. All these things make a difference. And most important what happens or doesn't happen when you grade to make the result "not very good".

RickMacki, Since your last posts about your Woods GSS60 grading scraper, and the suggestions made by others about its use and settings, how have you made out? I'm thinking about buying one and would like to hear your experiences and thoughts.
