What's the difference here? Can folks that use these brands let me know what they think of them? Is this like a GM vs. Ford issue? Help!

pmoon,

Yes, I believe it is the age old debate of Ford vs. Chevy. I have Landpride products because that's what my dealer sells. If they would have sold Woods then I would have purchased Woods. I have brochures on both and their specifications are very similar.

I have been very pleased with my Landpride products. Excellent craftsmanship and paint!

Both Woods and Landpride are high quality implement lines. Buy whichever is sold by the dealer you most like, or whichever is a few dollars less.

Both are top notch companies. There are subtle differences in their product lines, but it's pretty much a wash as to which one is "better". Landpride (and parent company GREAT PLAINS) does have a more extensive product line, however. Blades, boxes, finish mowers, and bush hogs are comparable. Their seeders are different as night and day. (I give the nod to Landpride there)

Woods is probably a more common brand, so dealer support would likely be more extensive. (But only by the slimmest of margin)

Gee, for a change, I'll have to go with all other answers. I can't find a way to disagree. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Actually I own several implements from both manufacturers. I consider both to be top quality products. I'm not familiar with anything from either manufacturer that wouldn't be of good, if not great, quality.

As a follow up question concerning these brands, would pin spacing and top link distances be the same as long as you stay brand consistant. The reason I'm wondering is I'm considering some sort of quick hitch system. So far, my implements are all the same. Just not sure about future ones. Also, is it mainly older implements that are the problems. Thanks, and I'm not trying to change the direction of this thread. Jason
