When I raise the mower with my B 7500 the front comes way off the ground the back wheels dont even leave the ground have I attached it wrong, works fine just doesn't seem right.

I encountered the same thing with mine. As Brian had mentioned the key is the top link. I had to make the top link about as short as it would go before the 3pt would pick up the mower deck and make it level when raised.

The other thing I am going to experiment with is the different set of pickup points on the lower arms of the 3pt, in order to try and raise the mower deck higher. The Woods manual lists something like 16" for a clearance between the caster wheels and the ground (with deck raised). With my setup it is more like 7-8".

Hope this helps.

Jeff,

No, I don't really have any other ideas. There are plenty of people out there with 3pt finish mowers so maybe one of them can help.

Just curious - after you attached at the lower lift points, then at the top link, and you shortened the link, what position was the clevis on the mower top link attach point? It should be nearly horizontal I think. That's what I found anyway, because if it isn't the 3pt will just lift the front of the mower and leave the rear caster wheels on the ground.

Wish I could help you out, but without being there to look at it that's about the best I can do.

There is really only one thing it can be, as the other posters said. Your top link is either somehow not attached right or it needs to be shortened. I am not familiar with your mower but maybe there is something loose or out of adjustment on the mower's linkage that goes up to the top link.
