Thanks to all the input here; Not sure how I did it but I messed things up pretty good here. Not only was the shear sprocket toast but the auger shaft was bent, suspect damage to the sprocket lead to the problem with the auger. The auger may have even been secondary when I was trying to get things running again before I realized the sprocket was seized up. Needless to say all the parts and time I almost bought myself a new snow blower. On the bright side, it's running smooth as silk and ready for the next round of snow (tomorrow). If I break it again then I deserve to just be sent out with a shovel
