The GC2300 is at 58 hours so I dropped by the dealership and retrieved the necessary supplies for the 50 hour service. I was going to pay the dealer to do it but for $300+, I will figure it out on my own. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
All was going great and then I got to the step where you need to remove the hydraulic filter and clean it. This step requires that the right rear wheel come off. Knowing loaded tires are heavy, I only raised the tire a 1/2 inch off the floor and braced myself for impact. As the tire released, I realized that either I am really strong or there is a good reason the rear end is light with heavy loads in the loader. There is no beet juice in the tires, none at all. This is quite a miss considering it is a $300 option I negotiated into the purchase. If I had not done my own service, I would have never known. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
I will call the dealer in the morning and schedule the tractor for a pickup. I have the original paperwork so it will not be an issue.
Long story over...on to my question. What tricks do you have for filling the hydraulic fluid in the back? I have a little funnel and tube and it made a mess and took forever. Part of the mess was from the 2.5 gallon container I was pouring from. Too hard to pour small amounts to avoid overfilling the funnel.
Please feel free to share any good stories about doing your own service.
