There's a B58 Hustler in the Air Force Museum in Dayton. It was the last winner of the Bendix Trophy, back in 1962. It was the last Bendix Trophy flight.

1962 B58 Hustler, LA to New York 02:00:65.8

I used to work with one of the 3 person flight crew's sons.

Too bad the SR71 never few an official Bendix Trophy run LA to New York. It did a run from LA to DC in 68 minutes. That's about 190 miles shorter, but still... YIKES!

Speaking of air museums, there a very nice one at Boeing field called, Museum of Flight. It's huge, has a Bell UH-1H Iroquois, SR-71 a countless Boeing stuff, Concorde. If you are anywhere near Seattle, it a must see.

Then south in Oregon, Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville Oregon. Another fabulous visit. I walked in up to the desk to get a ticket, looked up and saw a huge wing tip. Followed it with my eyes till it disappeared. Guy at the desk noticed and said, not many people notice it at first. I asked him, what the heck is it? Spruce Goose fuselage where it terminated something like 100+ feet away. Also saw a B-17, took many pictures of it, and showed my dad. At the time, he was suffering in the later stages of cognitive disfunction, but he instantly recognized it as just like one he flew in WWII. He remembered what all the controls did, switches etc. Pre flight checks, everything.

I may have mentioned that my wife’s tennis club was built inside the former ACF factory in St. Charles, MO. Back in the day, ACF built passenger train cars in the factory - almost exclusively for MoPac.

The reasons the factory made a good tennis club are (1) it’s huge - 60,000 square feet (2) the ceiling is really really high and (3) there are no support posts anywhere other than the walls. The entire 60,000 square feet is available for tennis.

Anyway, the rail car used by Harry Truman when he was a senator was built in the factory. It was used when Truman traveled from Missouri to Washington.

The rail car was eventually acquired by the Missouri Transportation Museum and restored.

It’s pretty cool.

Wont be seeing many more of those soon.
Maybe they will put solar panels on the abandoned tracks?

Nah, train use will go up and as for solar panels on the tracks, not a bad idea for dual use of the space.
If you’re referring to track, Might be going up in your area, but in my area, there’s more existing track getting ripped out than new getting laid down.
Industries served by rail going out of business.
