I drove by the Amtrak Beech Grove (Indianapolis) maintenance facility Thursday. There were probably 30-40 locomotives there outside. It's a huge facility. Couldn't stop to take pictures, so I captured these from Google Earth and Street Views.

There's also a large transfer table towards the back of the facility.

In Two Harbors today for a marine target when I heard a Minntac empty (U788) call to depart. I want to get these while both units are on the head end before they go 1x1 when the railroad implements a distributed power straight air solution. Two Harbors, MN - December 25, 2024
