I stumbled across this video about a mechanical drive diesel locomotive developed by a Colonel Fell in England in the early 1950s, that used four diesel engines and special gearboxes.

I have RR experience when I worked for about 5 different car repair shops over the years as a welder. (ak carmen) b thread is about anything associated with RR's.
ChooChootaboogie... Out here in Western Oregon we had a trestle collapse Saturday around noon. The two engines made it through, so did a few cars. Then cars when in the drink. One car hanging off the trestle, one car completely in the river, one car half in and half out. You can google Mary's River Trestle Collapse. Plenty of video and some drone footage. The train was carrying Urea which is now in the river, headed into the Willamette River and ultimately headed north. It is being covered by Eugene and Portland news outlets.

In the spirit of the season, my favorite railroad snowplow video: The Battle for Donner Pass - Pentrex

I have the original VHS (copied to DVD) which included only The Battle for Donner Pass. I have not seen the other video "Across Donner Summit", but I'll bet it's good too.

and runner up:
Winter Rails: Day of the Spreader - BA Productions.

As a bonus, the book "Diesels Over Donner" features the photography of Dick Dorn and Richard Steinheimer. Many photos in the book were taken by Dorn (and Steinheimer?) on the plow/rotaries during filming of "The Battle for Donner Pass".

These are old, but if you're into railroad snow fighting (and/or Southern Pacific) they are well worth finding.

General Electric Generator Car Special train w/caboose west on UP Jeff City Sub 12/27/24

I wonder what the guys in the cabs at each end of the car do? Notice they are not there when the train is moving faster.
