I think that thing weighs three times more than the Muskie.

Muskie was 27,000,000 pounds.
Bratwurst is 90,000,000 pounds.

About a year ago, the Discovery Channel had a show about these large machines. Wish they would show it again.

I've also seen a couple of shows featuring monster machines. It always stops me dead in my tracks because machinery has always fascinated me.

Our hunting camp is located right in the area where the “Silver Spade” has been digging for years. It’s amazing to sit and watch on a Saturday afternoon while removing 12 oz of fluid from aluminum cans. One can not really get a feel for BIG until you see this thing digging. The say the bucket is 105 cubic yards. The wife asked how much is that? I reminded her of the time we rented a 40 yard dumpster for a home renovation project and told her it was 2.5 times bigger per scoop. We go home on a Sunday and come back on Friday to see how far the thing has gone in a week and its just crazy the speed in which it digs. I can’t imagine how much more the other digger can do. Sad to say just a few months ago the spade had been parked and has not moved since. From what I hear they have finally laid it to rest. I am just glad my son and I saw it working. I am sure he will be telling his grand kids about it.
