Don't lift or push anything with the corner of the bucket. That can twist the loader frame.
Do not neglect to use rear ballast to match the intended load.
Don't use a loader as a bulldozer....they're loaders, not bulldozers and not excavators.

Question, though....we have a 4 in 1 bucket and I'll open it up and use the rear part of bucket similar to a dozer blade. I'm not trying to move mountains, by any means and our soil is very sandy...I'm mainly pushing along debris from the last logging episode. Is that bad?

I'd say many of us (including me) have done at least some of the things we warn about not doing...mostly a matter of using some common sense.
I won't recommend any of these practices (caveat: my loader manual also shows the digging procedure as others have written about) and I definitely wouldn't allow anyone using my tractor to do them (I lent out my old 670 once...watched a friend of mine really abuse it for about 2 minutes...then I chased him off the tractor).
When one owns the tractor, and knows he'll have to pay for any damages, he'll think twice before doing anything excessive.
My opinion, anyway...

My father and I split the tractor together and he seems to be the one that wants to push it a little harder than I do....that might be because he has money, though :/

Learned that quick. Heaped bucket full of compost raised to max high = Heaped bucket of compost on you...

think my cylinders on the FEL went belly up from digging up asphalt-there are some sort of 'stops' at the back of the cylinders and the dealer said they were pushed right back.

This is a good one - especially for things that can roll like a log or barrel.

Don't asymmetrically load it either with a chain or by pushing. Don't use it as a bulldozer or to ram things. Don't push tree branches or tree trunks that can act as a huge spring and take your head off. Don't push over trees which can break off high up and crash down on you. Don't use it without adequate rear ballast. Don't transport weight in it when elevated. Don't lift heavy objects when on a surface inclined perpendicular to the tractor. Don't ride people in it.

When used as a portable beer cooler, put the ice in before the beer.

Mostly use common sense, if that nagging voice in your head speaks up try and listen...
I tell the new guys at work
1.Carry a load as low as possible
2. Avoid high speed or tight turns with a loaded bucket, especially if its raised high.
3.Lower a loaded bucket slowly
4.Avoid quick stops with the bucket raised more than 1/2 way, especially if loaded heavy.

When bushhogging figure 8s around the trees, go SLOWLY. That means do not use high range 2nd gear at 1900rpm (540pto) trying to beat the sunset like I was. Sudden stops aren't comfortable. I was doing just fine until I started paying more attention to the bushhog than the fel.
